New Delhi. Amid the spike in Corona virus cases across the country, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Sunday claimed that the crisis won”t last long and a vaccine for the same was on the horizon.

While speaking in a Jan Samvaad, Gadkari asked the people to shed negativity and embrace positive vibes. “We will face the Corona crisis with self-confidence and positivity,” Gadkari said.

“Work on Corona vaccine in the country is taking place at a very fast pace. The crisis will not last long. Scientists in the country as well as of the world have been continuously working on this project. They have been working day and night,” said the Minister, adding, “We will face the Corona crisis with confidence, self-confidence and positivity.”

Focusing on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mantra of “self reliant India” Gadkari said, “The country’s infrastructure, water, power, transport, communication, industry are all changing. New employment opportunities are being created in the country. We have to reduce imports and increase exports as much as possible. We have to make the country self-reliant.”

Lauding Modi government’s policies to tackle terrorism in J&K, Gadkari said today the terrorists also know what will happen to them if they try to hatch any plan against India.

Gadkari hit out at Congress party on the issue of “Garibi Hatao” . The Minister said, “Congress has given the slogan of ”Garibi Hatao” (poverty removal) for 70 years. But the poverty of the poor, farmers and labourers of the country has not gone. Rather, the poverty of Congress party workers, leaders and ”chamchas” (stooges) has definitely ended,” he said.

He said when he was the National President of BJP, one martyr’s father asked him, “Why do Congress leaders go to the terrorists’ homes to pay tribute on their killing. Why they did not come to my martyr son’s home. I had no answer to his question,” he said.
