MOTIHARI: Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar on Sunday unveiled a life size statue of former parliamentarian Kamla Mishra Madhukar at Medan Sirisiya village falls under Kalyanpur police station in East Champaran district.
It was Nitish’s private itinerary on the call of Shalini Mishra, daughter of Kamla Mishra Madhukar- a veteran leader of communist party of india (CPI). Nitish met family members of Madhukar and underlined Madhukar’s long and fair political journey being a leader of CPI.
After landing at a helipad developed near by village, Nitish Kumar walk up to statue site and inaugurated memorial raised to commemorate Madhukar at his native village. Nitish Kumar and speaker of Bihar legislative assembly planted saplins at the gate of Smarak.
After unveiling the statue, Nitish inaugurated a health Camp and computer center at village and greeted village folk and party workers from a stage raised nearby school campus and flew back Patna waving his hands.
Nitish kumar did not address the gatherings but before his arrival , Madhukar family felicitated supporters of Madhukar. The occasion was graced by minister Rana Randhir Singhformer minister Mahachandra Singh, former Minister Awadhesh Prasdad Kushwaha former minister Shyam Bihari Prasad, Birendra Kushwaha and a good numbers of left leaders also participated the function among others.
Barring cooperative minister Rana Randhir Singh ,no significant BJP workers and leaders were spotted in the function. Shalini Minshra while talking to media expressed her jubilations over the visit of Chief Minister on her call saying he tries our family well being taking tea with my family members.
