New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called an all-party meet on June 19 to discuss the ongoing situation of standoff in Ladakh region at India-China border. The meeting has been called to discuss the violent clashes that between India and Chinese forces at Gulwan Valley in Eastern Ladakh region on Monday night killing 20 Indian soldiers, while many went missing from the area.

The Prime Minister’s office has said that presidents of various political parties can take part in the meeting that will be held virtually due to the Corona virus outbreak.

Meanwhile, in a clear message to China after Galwan Valley Clash, PM has said, “India is capable of befitting reply if instigated.” He further remarked strongly, “We will not compromise with our country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. No one can stop us from protecting this. We have shown our strength when it comes to protecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country. We have showcased our abilities.”

PM Modi said that sacrifice is part of our Indian tradition. But, valour and bravery is equally a part of our tradition. “I want to assure the nation that the sacrifices of our jawans will not go in vain. India wants peace,” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi adding, “But on being provoked, India has the ability to give a befitting response under any circumstances. The country will be proud that our brave martyrs were killed after valiantly killing many (Chinese soldiers).”

According to the reports, there were casualties on the Chinese side as well, though China has censured their numbers. The US intelligence states 35 Chinese soldiers were killed during the violent clash. China’s diplomats have similarly obfuscated the sequence of events leading to the clash, though their belligerence and aggression at the LAC has since been exposed.

Earlier also, the PM has chaired several meetings concerning this issue, with Defence Minister, Minister of External Affairs, Home Minister Amit Shah, the CDS, the three Armed Forces Chiefs, to adopt a strategy to resolve the standoff issue.
