 रामगढ़वा : पूर्वी चम्पारण के रामगढ़वा थाना क्षेत्र में पुलिस की बड़ी सफलता सामने आयी है! 

गुप्त सूचना पर थाना व STF की संयुक्त छापेमारी में भलुवइया पुल के पास से 70 ग्राम स्मैक जैसा मादक पदार्थ बरामद किया गया है। 

आरोपी पप्पूकुमार मिश्रा (पिता: स्व. छठू मिश्रा, सा: बलुआ थरघट्टी, थाना: पहाड़पुर, जिला: पूर्वी चम्पारण, मोतिहारी) को गिरफ्तार किया गया। 

मामले में अग्रिम कार्रवाई जारी है। यह घटना नेपाल सीमा से सटे पूर्वी चम्पारण के संवेदनशील क्षेत्रों में ड्रग्स तस्करी के बढ़ते खतरे को उजागर करती है। रामगढ़वा, घोड़ासाहन जैसे बॉर्डर इलाके नेपाल से होकर आने वाले स्मैक, ब्राउन शुगार और गांजा के हब बन चुके हैं। 

बीते महीनों में पुलिस ने कई बड़ी बरामदगी की है जैसे घोड़ा साहन में नवंबर 2025 में STF ने नेपाल बॉर्डर से 5 किलो स्मैक जब्त किया, 4 तस्कर गिरफ्तार किया था।

रामगढ़वा में अक्टूबर में 2 किलो ब्राउन शुगार बरामद, इंडो-नेपाल रूट का खुलासा भी हुआ था।

पहाड़पुर-बलुआ में दिसंबर माह में 100 ग्राम हेरोइन के साथ 3 नेपाली तस्कर पकड़े गये थे।

एसपी स्वर्ण प्रभात के नेतृत्व में मादक पदार्थ तस्करों के खिलाफ अभियान तेज हो गयी है। बॉर्डर पर नाइट पेट्रोलिंग, ड्रोन सर्विलांस और STF की सक्रियता से तस्करी पर लगाम लग सकती है। फिर भी, नेपाल की खुली सीमा चुनौती बनी हुई।

 स्थानीय युवा नशे की चपेट में आ रहे, इस ईलाके में 70% अपराध ड्रग्स से जुड़े बताये जाते है। पकड़े गए पप्पू मिश्रा का पूर्वी-पश्चिम चम्पारण कनेक्शन बताया जाता है।

 पूछताछ में नेपाल के ताज़ा तस्करी रूट का राज खुल सकता है। एसपी ने कहा, "बॉर्डर सीलिंग और इंटेलिजेंस पर फोकस है। तस्करों को जड़ से उखाड़ेंगे।

" जागरूकता अभियान से गांव स्तर पर नशा मुक्ति संभव है। 
घोड़ासाहन में अभी तस्करों का कई सिंडिकेट सक्रिय है जिन्हे स्थानीय पदाधिकारिओं का सहयोग भी प्राप्त है।

MOTIHARI:  In a stark reminder of media accountability, East Champaran District Magistrate Saurabh Jorwal has decisively countered a baseless Zee News digital report accusing him of enabling the sale of land tied to the defunct Chakia Sugar Factory.

 The unverified story, swiftly retracted after administrative pushback, underscores the perils of sensationalism masquerading as journalism.

District officials dismissed the Zee News piece—published on the platform founded by media mogul Subhash Chandra—as "fabricated and malicious.

" It is utter misuse of freedom of speech
as without quoting DM or verifying facts, the story was carried.

 "This was a deliberate attempt to tarnish the DM's reputation and manipulate public perception," an anonymous official told.

DM Jorwal's prompt clarification via the official Information and Public Relations Department (IPRD) whatupp group dismantled the claims.

 "No official can order land sales or purchases. The administration only facilitates regulatory compliance and court directives," he stated.

 Officials confirmed the Chakia factory land registry adhered strictly to judicial orders, with no administrative overreach.

Zee News deleted the report following the rebuttal, but the reporter allegedly peddled similar versions elsewhere. Allegely to declare false narative true to appease his false ego, the official said.

This isn't isolated. The reporter previously targeted a bilingual newspaper journalist based in Motihari.

 The journalists, in his one of the report had questioned Mahatma Gandhi Central University's Vice-Chancellor appointment. 

The same reporter in the zee news digital portal falsely claimed that a defamation notice would be issued against  the said journalists for questioning VC' appointment revealing his illegal proximities with VC.

 University sources however, denied any such action, exposing another unverifiable narrative by the same reporter on the same platform.

The District Public Relations Officer (DPRO) Gyaneshwar Prakash  indicated potential legal steps against the zee news reporter and platform for disseminating "biased, unverified information."

 "We're evaluating action under Press Council of India guidelines," the DPRO said.

 DM Jorwal's firm stance exemplifies administrative transparency amid Bihar's complex land disputes, particularly around shuttered sugar mills like Chakia and Motihari. 

As digital media proliferates, this episode reignites debates on ethical reporting versus clickbait. 

Jorwal's response not only vindicates his office but spotlights the need for fact-checked journalism. 

In an era of yellow journalism, upright officers like him safeguard public trust.

मोतिहारी। जिले की हरैया थाना पुलिस ने रविवार को मादक पदार्थ तस्करी के खिलाफ बड़ी सफलता हासिल की है। थाना क्षेत्र के बाईपास ओवरब्रिज के समीप पुलिस ने एक पिकअप वाहन से करीब 82.96 किलोग्राम गांजा  बरामद किया है। इस मामले में नेपाल के पर्सा ज़िले के वीरगंज निवासी आसु कुमार कलवार उर्फ़ विकेश कलवार, पिता ललन प्रसाद कलवार, को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। 

जानकारी के अनुसार, 28 दिसंबर 2025 की सुबह पुलिस को गुप्त सूचना मिली थी कि नेपाल से एक पिकअप वाहन में बने गुप्त तहखाने में गांजे का एक बड़ा खेप भारत की ओर लाया जा रहा है। सूचना मिलते ही एसडीपीओ रक्सौल मनीष आनंद के नेतृत्व में एक विशेष टीम गठित की गई, जिसमें रजिस्ट्रेशन अधिकारी आशीष कुमार अग्रवाल, हरैया थाना प्रभारी किशन कुमार पासवान, अपर थानाध्यक्ष सोनालाल कुमार समेत अन्य पुलिसकर्मी शामिल थे।

टीम ने त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए बाईपास ओवरब्रिज पर वाहनों की सघन जांच शुरू की। जांच के दौरान संदिग्ध पिकअप को रोककर तलाशी ली गई, जिसमें बने तहखाने से आठ बंडल गांजा, कुल वजन लगभग 82.96 किलोग्राम, बरामद हुआ।

मौके पर ही चालक को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया।  पुलिस सूत्रों के अनुसार, यह खेप नेपाल के वीरगंज क्षेत्र से लाई जा रही थी और पूर्वी चंपारण के रास्ते उत्तर बिहार के विभिन्न जिलों में सप्लाई की जानी थी।

पकड़े गए अभियुक्त से पूछताछ जारी है, जिससे अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर सक्रिय गांजा तस्करी नेटवर्क का खुलासा होने की संभावना जताई जा रही है। पुलिस ने इस घटना को जिले में मादक पदार्थ तस्करी के खिलाफ एक बड़ी सफलता बताया है।

मोतिहारी एसपी स्वर्ण प्रभात ने कार्रवाई करने वाली टीम की सराहना करते हुए कहा कि “सीमा पार से नशे का कोई भी नेटवर्क अब पुलिस की पकड़ से नहीं बच पाएगा।” इस संबंध में थाना कांड दर्ज कर आगे की कार्रवाई की जा रही है।

MOTIHARI : Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) guarding the Indo-Nepal border have set up a check post on the ‘friendship bridge’ at Bihar’s Raxaul causing concern to the visitors of both the nations.

The bridge located on ‘Sariswa River’- delineating ‘no-men’s land’ between both countries is straining the historic ties of roti-beti, religious spiritual faith and cross-border trade between India and Nepal.

Various bodies formed in and across the border to keep intact the age-old mutual friendship between two nations, have registered their anger over alleged ‘high handedness’ of SSB personnel during the checking and frisking process on the check post.

 Senior Vice President of Nepal- India Vishwa Maitri Sangha Praveen Mainali, Nepal, visited Raxaul, and expressed deep concern over the checking system implemented on the ‘Friendship Bridge (Maitri pool).

“The bridge, which was once considered a symbol of friendship between India and Nepal, has become a reason for ‘uncomfortable experience’ for traders, travelers, pilgrims and border citizens”, he said.

Mr Mainali says that due to the strict checking system on the bridge, people are getting stuck in traffic jams for hours, and a feeling of fear and discomfort has taken root in the minds of everyone. who crosses the border.

Mainali said that verification and checking is necessary, but its method should not become a blow to friendship. This bridge is not a border but a shared path of centuries old relations, he said.

The relationship between India and Nepal is not limited to the diplomatic border between the two countries. This relationship has been cultural, familial and intimate.

 Marriages take place in thousands of families in both the countries, many Nepali citizens get employment in India and the movement of Nepali citizens to the border villages of India has been going on for generations. The sudden imposition of strict monitoring and paperwork on this is affecting the lifestyle and family structure of the people, he said.

 A large population of Nepal, especially people from the border areas, buys daily necessities from the border markets of India and takes them to their country. This is not just shopping, but is also a part of cross-border socio-cultural unity. But now the search of every bag, every packet, and long inspection processes are hampering trade movement, which is also creating economic imbalance.

 Mr Mainali expressed special concern about the upcoming Shravan month. Every year lakhs of devotees from Nepal travel to various Shiva temples in India for the Bolbam Yatra. Pilgrimage sites like Deoghar, Baijnath Dham, Banaras, Kashi Vishwanath and Areraj are the centers of faith for these pilgrims. In such a situation, the intensive checking being done on the Maitri Bridge can disrupt these religious pilgrimages and there is a possibility of hurting religious sentiments as well, he said.

 Mainali made it clear that he would take up this issue seriously with the Indian Embassy in Nepal, the Nepal government and the Indian government. He suggested that the check post be shifted some distance away from the Maitri Bridge so that neither security is compromised nor ease of public relations is affected.

Arun Kumar Gupta, President of Raxaul Textile Chamber of Commerce, said that there can be a place for investigation, but there should not be a wall between relationships. This bridge connects hearts; it should not be turned into a wall of documents.

Traders, transporters, social workers and local citizens of Raxaul and Birgunj (Nepal) are also dissatisfied with this arrangement. People say that this bridge of India-Nepal is not just a geographical structure but a medium of intimate communication between the two countries. If there is no ease in this today, then a line of distrust can be drawn between the people.

 The relations between India and Nepal have never been bound by visas and passports. These relations have been going on through the hearts – they are not made by blood, but by emotions. The need for a verification system cannot be denied, but if the way of implementing it ignores public sentiments and social structure, then the Maitri Bridge will no longer be a symbol of friendship but will become an administrative wall.

BNM tried to take versions of SSB officials on the allegations, but no one appeared to comment on “Are there any necessities to streamline the verification system on this “questioned check post’.

MOTIHARI: The Indo-Nepal border in Bihar's East Champaran district has become a hotspot for drug smuggling, with law enforcement agencies regularly seizing contrabands and arresting smugglers. Despite these efforts, the problem persists, with West Champaran, East Champaran, and Sitamarhi being the primary entry points for drugs.

 In just three weeks, the district police have recovered significant quantities of Charas, Ganja, smack, and Brown Sugar, and arrested many carriers and smugglers. However, the prohibition law in Bihar has inadvertently led to an increase in other intoxicants, with opposition parties criticizing its failure. Drugs dealers have adapted to the increased police scrutiny by employing women and children as couriers, making law enforcement jobs even more challenging.

 A data made available by district police headquarter suggested that in the last three weeks only, district police have recovered huge quantities of Charas,Ganja, smack and Brown Sugar. The press notes reads16 Kg Ganja, 25.629 kg Charas, Smack 200 gm and 216 gram brown Sugar was recovered from various locations of border.

 East Champaran’s Superintendent of Police (SP) Swarn Prabhat has taken a strong stance against drug smugglers, arresting syndicate members and strengthening intelligence in border villages. He emphasizes the need for parents to be vigilant and keep an eye on their children, as drug dealers are now using women and children as couriers.

Challenges in Combating Drug Addiction:

 - Lack of De-addiction Centers: The district has no dedicated centers for treating addiction, leaving many victims, some as young as 14, without support.

 - Adaptation by Drug Dealers: Smugglers are using women and children as couriers, making law enforcement more challenging.

 - Thriving Drug Market in Slums: The illicit trade flourishes unnoticed in slum areas.

 A Multi-Pronged Approach is Necessary:

 - Intelligence Gathering: Strengthening intelligence in border villages to anticipate and prevent smuggling.

- Community Involvement: Parents and community members must be vigilant and report suspicious activities.

 - Rehabilitation Services: Establishing de-addiction centers to support victims of addiction.

Only through a comprehensive strategy can Bihar hope to curb the growing menace of drug addiction.

मोतिहारी: मोतिहारी पुलिस ने अंतरराष्ट्रीय गैंग के ‘नेपाल मोड्यूल’ (NEPAL MODULE) के ड्रग सिंडिकेट (DRUG SINDICATE)से संबद्ध एक ड्रग तस्कर को चार किलो ग्राम चरस के साथ गिरफ्तार कर लिया है | साथ ही पुलिस ने एक ग्लैमर मोटरसाइकिल और एक मोबाइल फोन को भी जब्त कर पूछ ताछ के बाद गिरफ्तार तस्कर को जेल भेज दिया है |

पुलिस अधीक्षक कन्तेश मिश्रा (IPS KANTESH KUMAR MISHRA)ने कहा कि सुचना मिलने पर सदर अनुमंडल पुलिस पदाधिकारी अरुण कुमार गुप्ता के नेतृव में गठित टीम ने जिले के छतौनी थाना अंतर्गत भटहां मोड़ से भारत- नेपाल सीमा से सटे घोडासाहन के बसवरिया गाँव के रहने वाले 35 वर्षीय व्यक्ति आमोद कुमार पिता बाबू नन्द प्रसाद को चरस के साथ गिरफ्तार किया |

एसपी ने कहा कि पुलिस को गुप्त सूचना प्राप्त हुई कि सीमा क्षेत्र का एक व्यक्ति  चरस की एक खेप को लेकर देश के अन्य राज्यों में बेचने की नीयत से निकला है | सदर डीएसपी के नेतृत्व में छतौनी थाना पुलिस निरीक्षक विजय चौधरी, दरोगा संतोष कुमार सिंह एवं अन्य पुलिस अधिकारियों ने सूचना एवं तकनीकी के सहयोग से तस्कर के असली लोकेशन पर ‘एक ट्रैप’ लगाया और बाइक सवार को रोक कर उसके बाइक की जाँच की, जिसमे सीट के नीचे छुपाये गये प्लास्टिक में पैक चरस को जप्त किया गया | अभियुक्त पर धारा 414 भादवि एवं 20 (b)(ii)c/22 NDPS ACT के अंतर्गत मामला दर्ज करते हुए कार्रवाई की गई |

उल्लेखनीय है कि गत 28 जनवरी को मोतिहारी एसपी कन्तेश मिश्रा के निर्देश पर रक्सौल थाना ने अहिरवा टोला से प्लास्टिक में पैक 1.3 ग्राम चरस को बरामद करते हुए नेपाल के परसा का रहने वाला शेख साहिल को गिरफ्तार कर जेल भेज दिया |

बताया गया कि भारत नेपाल के इस सरहदी इलाक़े में खुली सीमा का लाभ लेकर बड़े पैमाने पर प्रतिबंधित नशीले पदार्थों की तस्करी लगातार जारी है | एसएसबी(SSB) के कमजोर सुचना तंत्र का लाभ उठा कर तस्कर ना केवल बॉर्डर के सहारे नेपाल में प्रवेश कर जाते है, बल्कि देश के विभिन्य राज्यों तक कारोबारियों को पहुँचाने का कार्य कर रहे है जहाँ से ये मौत के सौदागर खुदरा में बड़े शहरों के बच्चों एवं बच्चियों तक को इसका आदि बना रहे है |

15 वर्षों के नारकोटिक कंट्रोल ब्यूरो (NARKOTICS CONTROL BUREAU)  के डाटा पर अगर नजर डाली जाए तो भारत नेपाल के सीमा से कोकीन, ब्राउन सुगर, स्मैक, चरस जैसे प्रतिबंधित नशीले पदार्थों के ज्यादातर खेप भारत नेपाल के इसी सीमा से होकर गुजरा  है | 2021 में दिल्ली के ब्यूरो ने 12 किलों यानि 46 लाख कीमत का चरस बरामद करते हुये एक तस्कर वाहिद अहमद को गिरफ्तार किया था | यह तस्कर बीरगंज बाजार का रहने वाला बताया गया था | 2018 के जनवरी में 80 लाख के चरस के साथ इंतज़ार आलम को रक्सौल के मटीयारवा से गिरफ्तार किया गया था | जबकि 2017 में 2.5 करोड़ के चरस इनेरवा बॉर्डर से बरामद किया गया था |

इन मामले में अगर सिर्फ पुलिस रिकॉर्ड पर भरोषा करें तो गत वर्षों रक्सौल के आस- पास के इलाकों में 120 से अधिक युवक और युवतियों की मौत ड्रग के आदी होने के कारण हो गया है  | हालत इतनी बदतर हो गयी कि सामाजित संस्था ‘लिटिल फ्लावर’ को नशे के आदि लोगों के इलाज़ हेतु एक योजना शुरू करनी पड़ी | बताया गया कि रक्सौल के लक्ष्मीपुर, कोइरिया टोला, प्रेमनगर, सिरिसिया, अहिरवालिया टोला, स्टेशन रोड, मौजे और नकरदेई का इलाका दसकों से नशेड़ियों के लिए बदनाम है|

ख़ुफ़िया विभाग (INTELLIGENCE DEPARMENT) के एक सुचना पर अगर गौर की जाए तो इस सीमाई ईलाके के नेपाल में आधे दर्जन से अधिक ड्रग्स सिंडिकेट सक्रिय है, जो पाकिस्तान के कुख्यात आईएसआई के विभिन्य अंगों से हैंडल होते है | गत वर्षों में बीरगंज के एक मछली विक्रेता प्रदीप साह के पास से 1 पोंड हेरोइन जप्त हुआ था | तब बताया गया कि इसको माफिया डॉन दाउद इब्राहीम का संरक्षण प्राप्त है| इसके अलावा अम्बिका मुखिया, सह्देव साह, अशोक, बीरबहादुर, यासीन मियाँ और मीर हसन आदि लोगों का नाम भी ख़ुफ़िया रिपोर्ट में ड्रग तस्कर के रूप में दर्ज है l
