MOTIHARI: Motihari police on Tuesday busted a sex racket run by a retired sub-inspector, Satendra Narayan Sharma, in Agarwa locality in Motihari.
Two women, Chand Tara and Babita Kumari, were also arrested along with Sharma. The police found used and unused condoms, objectionable objects, and mobile phones revealing the syndicate's operations.
The raid was conducted by town police led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Madhu Kumari and Wasim Feroz, following a tip-off. Initially, the women claimed to be husband and wife, but later admitted to their involvement in the racket. WhatsApp chats on their mobiles showed images of girls and women used to lure customers.
Police laid a siege at the house located near railway track in ward 36 and arrested two women and a man with a numbers of used and unused condoms and many objectionable and calamitous objects from their possession, police said.
A retired sub-inspector arrested from scene was identified as Satendra Narayan Sharma son of late Girja Singh from Jahanabad district and two women Chand Tara wife of Md Yunush, resident of near Balua Gumati and Babita Kumar wife of Subhash Sahani village Ijra Nawada falls under Sangrampur police station in East Champaran district.
Police said the house, where sex racket is being run, also owned by the same ASI and mobile phones recovered from their possessions reveals the story of how they annexed a number of women and girls in their syndicate to run their racket throughout the district.

When the police team entered through the back door, they found a 40 year old woman with a 62 year old man. When interrogated, initially the women claimed that they are husband and wife but later on admitted that her name is Chandtara resides near railway Gumati in the same localities and in another room police team found one Babita Kumari native of IJra Nawada in Sangrampur.
When chats of whattup of mobiles recovered from them were scrutinized, many chats reveal how they use to show images of girls and women to lure their customers and many audio clips found in whattup chats also reveal the same story of this nefarious trade.
