India’s military might were displayed in Motihari- a twin city located along Indo-Nepal border in Bihar on Friday, with all three army wings showcasing military life, weapons and advance equipment being used by infantry and Special Forces.

Governor of Bihar Arif Mohammad Khan along with senior Army officials inaugurated the two days event beginning from 7 February and Paratroopers welcomed the guests with tricolor leaving Motihari residents spellbound.
Addressing the gathering, the Governor said that Indian culture is inherent with the concepts of non-violence, that doesn't mean we are sissy. To protect our territories and give befitting reply to those who ever thought to intimidate us, we have equipped our army with world class war technologies.
For the first time, the Motihari citizens got this unique opportunity to witness cutting-edge weaponry, advanced defense systems in ‘Shourya Bednam’- an event organized in the field of Gandhi Maidan, Motihari jointly by the union defense ministry and district administration.
The soldiers left the crowd awestruck with a daring display of precision and bravery, with the display of operational readiness and fostering a sense of pride among huge numbers of youths thronged at the event site.
District magistrate of East Champaran Saurabh Jorwal said that event is aiming to showcase Indian army strength, technological advancements, while bridging the gap between civilian and armed forces, and encouraging youths.
A huge gathering, on the occasion witnessed Bofors Tank, T-90 tank, Bofors gun drill maneuver, indigenous K-9 automatic tank, BMP vehicle, locating radar and AK-47 and other deadly weapons being used by India army at the time of war.
A thrilling demonstration of Su-30 fighter jet, AN- 32, and Chetak fly past draws the audience. Free fall demonstrations from 8000 feet also fascinated the spectators in the same vein.
India army’s operational demonstration (raids on enemy communication) added additional interests among spectators. Air force’s exhibition of advanced weapons and Dog show, Robotic mules, martial arts, dare devil Bike display, operational demo, and a gala cultural show by army wings draws huge appreciations.
Forces exhibited Khukri Dance, Bhangda dance, Chhau dance and left the audience spell abound. Coordinated mass band was also a fresh experience for the audience.
General officer commanding in chief lieutenant general of middle command Anigham Sen Gupta and parliamentarian Radha Mohan Singh, District Magistrate (DM) Saurabh Jorwal, Superintendent of police (SP) Swarn Prabhat also graced the function among others.
