A Grand and Emotional Farewell to the Leader and Change- Maker, Vice- Chancellor Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma.

MOTIHARI: The MGCU fraternity gave hon'ble VC Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma an appropriately gigantic and heartfelt send off at a farewell ceremony on 29th March, at Brahsapati Bhawan, Mahatma Buddha Parisar.

Present on the dias were the three campus directors Prof. Anand Prakash, Prof. Asheesh Shrivastava and Prof. Prasoon Dutt Singh,  Proctor Prof. Panveer Singh and the man of the moment himself Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma.

In their address, all of them expressed immense gratitude and awe towards hon'ble VC Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma for his unique ability to empower each one of us and lead change with sensitivity, determination, passion, confidence and positivity.

Shephalika Mishra,  Public Relations Officer of the university told the newspapers that Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma has been a man of great intelligence wide experience and fantastic long term vision. His efficient, transparent and courageous leadership has helped the five year old university overcome many challenges, settting new standards and reaching new heights. The academic, reasearch and administrative environment established by him at this new university laid the foundation path for the many milestones we have achieved. His contributions  will always be invaluable and unforgettable.
 
Hon'ble VC Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma handed over the charge of office of the VC to the Senior-Most Professor, Prof. Anand Prakash. Department of Biotechnology. They exchanged the handing- over and taking- over document and Prof. Anand Prakash assumed the chair as the Acting VC of MGCU.

In his speech, Prof. Anand Prakash said that speaking anything in the honour hon'ble VC would be like showing lamp to the sun. He further added that the university would march unitedly with determination on the path of academic excellence, envisioned and led by hon'ble VC Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma.

In his departing speech, hon'ble VC Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma thanked the Hon'ble President of India and the Givty of India for giving him the opportunity to serve MGCU in the capacity of the Vice- Chancellor. He said that although alot has been achieved, a lot is yet to be done and expressed faith that the university will continue to word hard towards steady progress. Hon'ble VC also said that his connection to the university is not confined only to it's geographical location and physical establishment but his relationship with all the faculty members, the administrative staff and every student of the university will remain for a lifetime now.
He expressed gratefulness for the love, warmth and respect received from the #MGCU fraternity and wished everyone a healthy, happy and prosperous future.

Our annual bi-linguial magazine 'ज्ञानाग्रह',  which features articles and poems from across the students, faculty and staff of the university was also inaugurated at the farewell ceremony.

All the faculty members felicitated hon'ble VC department- wise. Also present among others at the occasion were Prof Rajeev Kumar, OSD (Admin),  Prof. Rajendra Badgujar, Prof. Santosh Tripathi, Prof. Shirish Mishra, Prof. Ajay Kumar Gupta, Prof. Vikas Pareek, Prof. Arttatrana Pal, Prof. Anjani Jha, Prof. Ranjeet Chaudhary and Prof. Sarita Tewari.
