He was appointed as the first V-C of MGCU in Motihari by the government in February 2016 from a panel of three names submitted by the search-cum-selection committee. Agarwal is the ninth central university head to come under the scanner ever since the NDA government took charge.

MOTIHARI NEWS: MHRD hints relocate MGCU venues as Motihari’s site draws civil dispute
The Ministry of Human Resource departments (MHRD) at Delhi has recently hinted to the district administration to look out for a potential site with approximately 302 acres- required chunk of land for this project. District Magistrate of East champaran Shirshat Kapil Ashok has revealed this in a recently held meeting in Motihari.
