Oli’s slogan ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Holy borrowed from Ganga Thapa and Prachnada- Ganesh Basnet

BIRGUNJ (NEPAL): In the fifth district convention of Press Chautari Nepal, Parsa scribes body hit hard UML leader KP Oli.

Inaugurating the convention, Press Chautari Nepal President Ganesh Basnet accused UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli of using the slogan 'Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali' by borrowing it from Gagan Thapa of the Nepali Congress and Chairman of the CPN-Maoist Center Prachanda.

Basnet said that the slogan of Chautari was similar to the UML's slogan of 'Strong, Working Journalist, Press Freedom and Professional Journalism for Building Prosperous Nepal'. He suggested the journalists affiliated with Chautari to share the list of good deeds done by the UML government with the people. Meanwhile, the convention held today has unanimously selected a new 25-member working committee under the chairmanship of Banjara. The working committee consists of Vice-Chairperson Tulasi Bhandari, Kavita Khadka, Secretary Rajendra Singh Nepali, Joint Secretary Mohammad Saddab, Santosh Patel and Treasurer Rakesh Sahal.

The advisors are Pratap Shrestha, Mahesh Chandra Gautam, Kiran Raj Pandey, Saroj Khadka, Manoj Mishra, Yuvraj Khadka and Laxmi Kharel while the central representatives are Mahesh Das, Anup Tiwari, Mahesh Chandra Gautam and Sushma Sharma.
