MOTIHARI: District Magistrate (DM) and Superintendent of police (SP) of East Champaran district – two top officials on Wednesday inspected various Chhat Ghhats in Motihari- ahead of Chhat Puja and instructed nagar nigam official to spruce up the Ghat locality.
DM Saurabh Jorwal, SP Swarn Prabhat and Nagar Nigam commissioner Saurabh Yadav visited Hanuman Garhi Chhat Ghat and reviewed all the preparations going on there by Nagar Nigam to facilitate Chhat devotees.
East Champaran's top officials are gearing up for Chhat Puja in Motihari. On Wednesday, District Magistrate Saurabh Jorwal and Superintendent of Police Swarn Prabhat inspected various Chhat Ghats, including Hanuman Garhi Chhat Ghat, to ensure preparations are underway for the festival . They met with Nagar Nigam Commissioner Saurabh Yadav to review the locality's readiness.
Preparations and Guidelines:
- Cleaning and Painting: DM Saurabh Jorwal ordered the immediate cleaning and painting of the Chhat Ghat.
- Safety Measures: Spray bleaching powder and barricading are to be done considering the depth of water.
- Foolproof Arrangements: DM emphasized the need for safety and conveyance arrangements to facilitate devotees.
- Boat Safety: Guidelines were listed to avoid any boat tragedies.
With millions of devotees expected to attend, the officials are keen to ensure a peaceful and successful celebration.
DM directed to get the Chhat Ghat cleaned and get it painted immediately. “Spray bleaching powder and barricading done considering the depth of water”, DM instructed adding all the work should be done on time so that Devotees coming to Ghat do not face any problem.
DM said that the foolproof arrangement for the safety and conveyance needed to facilitate devotees on Ghat this year. Keen to avoid any boat tragedy, he listed many guidelines. Notably, millions of devotes are expected to offer their prayers on the occasion and SP and DM is keen to get this festival celebrated peacefully.
