 MOTIHARI : Special investigating team (SIT) formed to investigate Chiraiya girls hanging case has successfully zeroed in Vikki Kumar – the prime accused in the case.

The team led by SDPO Sikrahana Ashok Kumar located Vikki with the help of Ramgarhwa Station house officer (SHO) Amarjeet Kumar from an undisclosed location and bringing him to Motihari. Police is yet to disclose the modus operandi of the arresting.

 Today, Motihari police had announced a reward for information leading to ‘unfold’ the mysteries behind death of a girl found hanging with a mango trees in Baidhnathpur village under Chiraiya police station in Bihar’s East Champaran district, police said on Thursday.

“Anyone who help the police apprehend Vikki Kumar, son of Rajeshwar Prasad a native of Akauna village under Chiraiya police station will get Rs 25000/-“ said Swarn Prabhat, superintendent of police (SP) of east chamaparn.

SP said that technical tools being used to solve mysteries of this suspected hanging revealed the role of one Vikki Kumar suspected and he found to be absconding since police recovered the body but now he has been nabbed by SIT.

Police seemed impatient to solve the mysteries of this death ever since it recovered the body of girl. SP constituted a SIT under the leadership of Sikrahana sub divisional police officer (SDPO) Ashok Kumar. Collected physical evidences and trying to get doctors opinion to solve the case” police said adding we are corroborating the evidences to reach on conclusion whether strangulated or hanging. SP rebutted a media reports that overhasty published a misleading article underlying the girl was gang rapped before being murdered and hanged. Sharing the clip of this mainstream news paper, he cautioned “Such unverified stories may lead FIR against news paper. Story ran without proper confirmation of officials. Doctor already denied even rape sign with victim girl and medical board report is still awaited.

Notably, a mysterious hanging case has surfaced in Chiraiya under Bihar’s East Champaran district on Wednesday, where a young girl's body was found hanging from a mango tree in Baidhnathpur village.

Body was identified as daughter of one Hari Thakur of the same village. During the inquest of the body, police found a girl was hanged with a Dupatta and the sign of Dupatta was found on her neck. Police also did not find any external sign or injuries on body or any other sign of struggles that raised needle of suspicion of any foul play.

Family members named some members of liquor mafia with whom the girls had a heated argument few days ago. Vikki was also one of them and he is evading police arrest.

 As the investigation unfolds, police are exploring all possible angles, including suicide and foul play. They're also looking into whether the girl was strangled and then hanged to mislead the authorities. The big question remains: if it's a suicide, who might have driven her to take such a drastic step?

 The case highlights the complexities of criminal investigations, where medical expertise plays a crucial role in unraveling the truth. Whether she was raped if murdered? . Police detained some suspects and began scanning them to yield any clues.

In this case, the police are seeking a second opinion from a board of doctors to clarify the cause of death. The probe is ongoing, and only time will tell what really happened to the young girl.
