New Delhi; Describing the post-Corona period as a turning point for the whole world including India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that it is necessary to build a new India on the foundation of self-reliance. He said that today the world's view of looking at India has changed a lot. Now the world wants to see a strong India.
The Prime Minister was addressing party workers at the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) self-reliant economy program on Wednesday. During this, he compared the decisions taken by the previous government and the BJP in the last 7 years regarding the union Budget.
The Prime Minister said that this period of Corona is a kind of turning point for the whole world. The world we are going to see next, will not be the same as it was before the Corona period: Just as the whole world changed after World War II, so many changes are possible in the world after Corona, the possibility of a new world order is also there.
He said that it is time for India to prepare afresh, for new opportunities, for fulfillment of new resolutions. It is very important that India becomes self-reliant and a modern India should be built on the foundation of that self-reliant India.
The Prime Minister said that the decisions taken in the last seven years, due to which India's economy is continuously expanding today included the policies that were made, the policies which were improved in the past. He further said, 7-8 years ago the GDP of India was 1 lakh 10 thousand crore rupees. Today the economy of India is around 2 lakh 30 thousand crores.
