Shiv Sena on Lata Mangeshkar's death: "It's the end of an era."

Mumbai; Sanjay Raut, a Shiv Sena MP and the party's chief spokesperson, expressed grief over the death of legend singer Lata Mangeshkar on Sunday, calling her death "the end of an era."
In a series of tweets, Raut expressed his condolences for the singer's death.

"An era has come to an end," the Rajya Sabha member wrote alongside a photo of Lata Mangeshkar on Twitter.
In another tweet, he said, "One sun, one moon, only one Lata."
"Tere bina bhi kya jeena," the Shiv Sena's chief spokesperson said in another post.

Lata Mangeshkar, the legendary singer, died today in Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU). She was 92 years old at the time.
On January 8, the megastar was admitted to the hospital after being diagnosed with COVID-19 and pneumonia. Despite recovering from COVID, the star singer was placed on ventilator support on Saturday after her condition deteriorated.

Mangeshkar was an Indian playback singer and occasional music composer best known for her melodious voice, which earned her the nickname "Nightingale of India."
She began her career at the age of 13 in 1942, when she was born on September 28, 1929. Over the course of her seven-decade career, the melody queen recorded over a thousand Hindi film songs. She had sung songs in over thirty-six Indian regional languages as well as foreign languages.
