
Peasant Shot dead in Kalyanpur in East Champaran

MOTITHARI: Gunners on Friday late night shot dead a sixty year old man while the victim was sleeping in his home located at Bairagi Tola of Bakhari Panchayat under Kalyanpur police station.
Villagers said that the assailants were motorcycle born. They parked the bike nearby victim’s house and two of them walked up to Mokhtar Sahani’s cot on which Sahani was sleeping and opened the fire targeting Sahani from close blank rang. The bullet hit the left side of the chest of Sahani killing him on the spot. Villagers said that they rushed to the spot after gun shot sound they heard and sported the gunners were flaying away on bike waving the guns.
Family members of victim told they identified the killers, who killing his men fled toward west of the site. They said earlier Sahani had been threatened on his personnel cell phone and the incident had been intimated to the local police
SHO Kalyanpur Raviranjan Kumar said that Sahani died due to excessive bleeding. They are yet to get any written application from family members. As per my information they have identified the assailants. After autopsy, the body has been handed over to the family members, police said.
Deputy Superintendent of police (DSP) of Chakiya Shailendra Kumar said once they received the complain of family members they will start their investigation to locate actual killer.
Women hanged under suspicious circumstances
One Nursada Khatoon of Raghunathpur Panchayat under Ramgarhwa PS hanged to death under suspicious circumstances. “Police filed a case on the statement of family members of the victim. They alleged the husband and others in-laws killed her for dowry”, said SHO Ramgarhwa
