
GANG BUSTED: INTERSTATE GANG OF CYBER FRAUD CAUGHT IN EAST CHAMPARAN

Motihari :The police has arrested 3 members of inter state gang involved in cloning of credit card ,debit card and ATM and withdrawing money from the card holders’ bank accounts on Tuesday from Indian 1 ATM at Matiariya village under Harsidhi police station in East Champaran district. This is the first case of its nature in this district .
Jyoti Prakash, SDPO of Areraj said that the accused were identified as Kundan Kumar of Chakiya , Ashok Kumar of Pakaridayal both of East Champaran and Amit Kumar of Kanti of Muzaffarpur district . During interrogation the arrested accused admitted before police that they had made duplicate credit cards and debit cards by obtaining personal details of their owners by installing `Magnetic card readers `in ATMs machines at Areraj , Darbhanga and in Uttarpradesh .
The police has recovered an small electric machine, Magnetic card readers and three cell phones from their possessions and seized a SUV ridding on which they had reached there .
SDPO said the arrested persons were booked under relevant sections of IT Act and IPC and sent to jail . Three more persons would be arrested in this cyber fraud case soon ,he added. According to police six persons in a SUV
reached near ATM room at Matiariya in midday and three persons entered in ATM room . They were going and coming out in this ATM room for some time . Some villagers near ATM suspected and informed the police . The villagers caught three persons but rest three persons fled away. The villagers handed over three persons to Harsidhi police .
