Leaked Bihar board paper found true, DM ordered enquiry

MOTIHARI : The district administration confirmed that the question paper viral on social media is similar to that of the actual question paper distributed among students appearing in the first day of  Bihar board class 10 board exam 2022 began at the various centers in Motihari here today.

As many as 16 questions of math paper went viral on social media just before the first sitting of examination commenced questioning the administrative claims on fair and malpractices free conducts of examination.

 

 Taking the matter seriously, district magistrate of East Champaran Shirshat Kapil Ashok ordered a three member committee to enquire into the viral question paper. “They will take helps of cyber cell to locate actual platform and persons who leaked this questions paper”, said Saurabh Suman Sadar sub-divional officer in Motihari.

While claiming fair and peaceful conducts of examination, Saurabh told we got question paper at around 8.53 AM . Till then almost all students entered in to examination hall. “Inquiry began and the culprits will be identified soon”,he said.

 

Notably, the question paper was going viral on WhatsApp and social media. After initial confusion about whether the paper was real or fake, investigations by the district administration proved that the Math paper doing the social media rounds was real and that’s needs to be thoroughly inquired in to.

The district administration said that all the questions which were going viral have matched with the BSEB Class 10 mathematics paper.

 

Amidst strict security and Covid-19 guidelines, The Bihar board matriculation exam started off on Thursday to be held from February 17 to 24.

Over approximately 80,000 students in both shifts are appearing for the exams at 59 exam centers across the district.

The BSEB board exams holding its examination in two sessions every day from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm, and from 1:45 pm to 5 pm.

Claims of district administration

Steps have been taken to curb cheating and malpractices as well. Super zonal magistrate and police officers will supervise the centers. Examinees will be frisked twice before they enter the exam centres and they aren’t allowed to bring calculators, cell phones, Bluetooth devices or earphones and shoe and shocks. Any electronic device has been finally prohibited.
