DM takes ‘strong exception’ to grafts allegation, DEO and DPO under scanner

MOTIHARI: District Magistrate of East Champaran district Saurabh Jorwal took ‘strong exceptions’ on media reports- highlighting a numbers of serious allegations leveled against district program officer (DPO establishment) Md Saheb Alam in district’s education department.

DM Jerwal also sought a through inquiry on the allegations that district education officer (DEO) Sanjeev Kumar allegedly not posting a senior district program officer (DPO) Pawan Kumar as DPO establishment despite being senior most in the department and left to languish him since March this years.

  On DM’s instructions, in-charge urban development cell  through letter number 489 dated 12 September 2024 asked officer, sub-divisional public grievance cell, sadar to inquire in to the all allegations mentioned in a written complaint filed before district magistrate few days ago.

Motihari urban development’s letter reads- letter filed before DM attached and all the points mentioned in complains be inquired in to thoroughly and accordingly a lawful action is needed. Action taken reports be send back so as to district magistrate can be made aware about the development.

Notably, DPO Sahab Alam is under fire for a numbers of allegations against him including grafts, harassment of teachers, illegally using some teachers for his personnel and departmental work.

 Alam also was made named accused in a murder case filed against him for allegedly excessively harassing a retire teacher that led his death with heart attack.

Rajendra Singh, who had filed a murder case accusing  DPO Sahab Alam and others for harassing his retire teacher brother, told to BNM that he filled number of applications to senior officials alleging Sahab Alam’s illegal demands and his never ending persecution but all turned it deaf ears.

DEO and DPO both were contacted through whattup massages. None of them responded and the calls made were left unattended.
