New Delhi: Shiv Sena spokesman Sanjay Raut on Thursday said that Rahul Gandhi should take the leadership of the Congress. Raut said that at this time a strong opposition is needed in the country, so it is necessary for the Congress to play the role of strong opposition with full force.
Addressing the Media, Sanjay Raut said that there was no other leader far and wide to lead the Congress party except Rahul Gandhi. He further said, “The interim President of the Congress Party, Sonia Gandhi, has reached 70 years of age. Similarly, other leaders should also play advisory role on the lines of BJP.”
Raut said that Priyanka Gandhi is the general secretary in the Congress party, but she is not able to give full time. Therefore, apart from Rahul Gandhi, no other leader can be seen to strengthen the Congress party.
Sanjay Raut said that there is no disagreement in the Mahavikas Aghadi government. Whatever the media or opposition is trying to show, such differences are common in almost all Aghadi governments.
Raut said that earlier there was a government of Aghadi of Bharatiya Janata Party and Shiv Sena in the state. In that government too, Shiv Sena MLAs used to get less development fund and for that they used to be angry.
