On 13 February, deputy inspector general of Champaran Range chaired a special meeting with district superintendent of police (SP) Kantesh Mishra and ASPs and DSPs of East Champaran district and issued various instructions to improve law and order in the district .

Sinha said most of the SHOs hardly bother to make diary available in court despite many reminders. “Harsiddhi station house officer (SHO) Jwala singh is one among many others cops, who rarely eyes on the seriousness of his diary that is important for applicants as well as accused persons both” Sinha said.
